There's Never One Way to Wear a Little Black Dress

Beachy Retreat
Having a date night with a new beau? Dinner on the coast, and then drinks on the beach at night ... probably somewhere tropical like Hawaii or the coast of Miami?? High low dress trend is perfect if you are short but love the elegance of a maxi dress. The sheer black fabric is sexy and can still be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Since it is a black dress, and the location is a beach setting, you should use pops of color to make the look flirty, and not too serious. A chunky, bold statement necklace is perfect for an LBD. Subtle earrings and a bold clutch complete the look. And of course you need a flower accessory to complement sultry hair waves.

Paris at Night
I am going out for a night on the town, preferably Paris on a night where it's lightly drizzling, kind of like that scene where Big meets Carrie in the final season of "Sex and the City." Pearls are classy, always fashionable, and just a tad bit preppy. It adds an extra kiss of girly glam. A natural smoky eye is perfect for any occasion, and it can easily go from a day to night look.

Birthday Blowout
Like simple silhouettes?  This tank dress is effortlessly chic. It strikes the perfect balance of casual, but cute -- without being too sexy. Statement necklace is one piece but it can make you look fancy instantly. Since you pick with a bold bib necklace the only other piece you can paired with it was a simple gold cuff. Retro waves are classically beautiful and the perfect party hairstyle. A bold statement lip and a pop of gold eyes, which ties in the gold accessories is perfect for the all look.

Drinks with the Girls
Going to a cocktail party with my girlfriends? If you want something upscale and special; something wouldn't wear on just any given Friday, this little black dress is you choice. Gold watch  can add some color and sparkle to this simple black dress and it was a good attention grabber. Clutch helps bring the watch and shoes together to give it a complete look and also because the clutch really took the dress from casual to upscale. If you don't want something uptight and serious because you are young and want to have fun in my LBD, ponytail or loose updo is good choice. Stuck with a lighter complexion and darker eyes is dramatic enough to go with an upscale LBD but not too much.
